Allan McCarville is a Stittsville author and researcher who has published a number of books across various genres: historical fiction, fantasy/adventure, crime/suspense, and stories about the paranormal.
A native of Prince Edward Island, Allan McCarville attended Carleton University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation, he worked for Health Canada in the field of international food safety standards. On a number of occasions, he was seconded to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization to conduct food safety training in developing countries. For his work in promoting international food safety standards, he received an Assistant Deputy Minister’s Award for Excellence.
Upon retiring from the federal government, he had the choice between working as a door greeter at a neighbourhood box store, or crafting stories. He believes writing is much more fun, although he admits he would have made more money as a door greeter.
Allan McCarville resides in Stittsville along with his wife and family.
